We will encounter some small problems when loading and unloading products. Below is our description of the loading and unloading process, tips and suggestions.
1. On a level surface, place wheel chocks in the front and rear of the front tires, making sure the vehicle will not move forward or backwards
2. Lift the rear of the vehicle by the frame jacking points and support it with jack stands on each side. Make sure the vehicle is stable and the rear wheels are off the ground.
3. Remove any brake line brackets or cable holds that may overextend the lines when dropping the axle.
4. Doing both left and right sides, loosen and remove the shackle bolts and remove the stock shackle. (Some trucks may require you to liftthe axle to slide the top bolt up and over the frame)
5. Using a jack under the axle to adjust the position of your shackles will make it easier to remove and reinstall the shackle bolts.
**For shackles that came with rubber bushings** Install grease zerks if your shackles came with bushings. (Add grease through the zerk after new shackle is in tall and bolts are tightened)
5. Install the new shackles and tighten the bolts to roughly 65ft/1bs. Do NOT overtighten, this will cause squeaks and binding.
7. Bolt back on brake line brackets and/or cable holds making sure that they are positioned with enough slack for the lift.
8. After about one tank of gas or 300 miles re-torque the shackle bolts.
In this way, you can replace the parts faster and safer by yourself, and you can communicate with us at any time if you encounter problems during the loading and unloading process!
